ICE CUBE SERA ÉGALEMENT PRÉSENT AU 20ÈME FESTIVAL DE DOUR!
Qui de mieux pour représenter le Gangsta Rap lors de la 20ème édition du Dour Festival que Ice Cube ? Ce monument de la branche hardcore du Hip-hop US avait débuté il y a plus de 20 ans avec Dr DRE et Eazy-E, avec qui il avait formé les NWA (Niggaz with Attitude).
Le ton était donné dès la sortie de Straight Outta Compton, un premier album estampillé West Coast et le titre "Fuck Tha Police" qui ébranla les institutions américaines à la fin des années 80. Aujourd'hui, cet album reste une référence du genre.
Après avoir quitté le NWA, suite à des conflits de personnalités avec Eazy-E, Ice Cube se lança dans une carrière solo qui le verra voyager entre les scènes de tournage et les studios d'enregistrement, où naîtra le AmeriKKKa's most wanted en 1990. A 38 ans, Ice Cube est plus virulent que jamais et il revient avec Raw Footage, un album qui devrait voir le jour cet été chez Lench Mob.

OOK ICE CUBE OP 20e EDITIE DOUR FESTIVAL
Wie beter dan Ice Cube om de gangsta rap te representen op de 20 editie van Dour Festival? 20 jaar geleden stak dit monument van de hardcore hiphop voor het eerst de kop op, samen met Dr Dre en Eazy E in het legendarische NWA (Niggaz With Attitude).
Samen bepaalden ze de sound van de West Coast met het historische Straight Outta Compton. Een van de mijlpalen daarop is het onverwoestbare Fuck the Police, waarmee ze de Amerikaanse politie aan het eind van de jaren 80 op de korrel namen. Met Straight Outta Compton zetten ze een mijlpaal. Door een ruzie met Eazy-E verlaat Ice Cube NWA en stort hij zich op een solocarrière als rapper (met o.a. AmeriKKKas most wanted uit 1990) en acteur. Op zijn 38e is Ice Cube strijdvaardiger dan ooit en slaat hij terug met Raw Footage. Dat album zou deze zomer moeten verschijnen op Lench Mob.

ICE CUBE WILL BE PRESENT AT DOUR 08!
Who better to represent the Gangsta Rap at the 20th edition of Dour Festival than Ice Cube? This monument of the hardcore branch of Hip-hop made in US started over 20 years ago with Dr. DRE and Eazy-E, with whom he had started NWA (Niggaz with Attitude).
The tone was set right out with Straight Outta Compton, a debut album stamped West Coast and the title "Fuck the Police" which shook the American institutions in the late 80's. Today, this album remains a benchmark of the genre.
After leaving NWA, in the wake of personality clashes with Eazy-E, Ice Cube embarked on a solo career that would see him move between movie shoots and recording studios, where AmeriKKKa's most wanted was born in 1990. At 38, Ice Cube is more Virulent than ever, and he came back with Raw Footage, an album that is expected to be launched this summer on Lench Mob.
